Follow these steps to measure your penis accurately. Always use a flexible measuring tape or a piece of string that you can later measure with a ruler.
Erect Length
Achieve a full erection.
Place the measuring tape or ruler on top of the penis.
Press the base of the ruler firmly against the pubic bone at the base of the penis.
Measure from the base to the tip of the glans (head).
Record the measurement to the nearest 0.1 inch or 0.25 cm.
Erect Girth
Maintain a full erection.
Wrap the measuring tape or string around the thickest part of the shaft.
Ensure the tape is snug but not tight, and parallel to the ground.
Note where the tape meets or overlaps.
If using a string, mark where it overlaps and measure that length with a ruler.
Record the measurement to the nearest 0.1 inch or 0.25 cm.
Flaccid Length
Ensure the penis is completely flaccid and at room temperature.
Gently stretch the penis to its natural length (don't pull hard).
Place the measuring tape or ruler on top of the penis.
Measure from the base (where it meets the body) to the tip of the glans.
Record the measurement to the nearest 0.1 inch or 0.25 cm.
Flaccid Girth
Ensure the penis is completely flaccid and at room temperature.
Wrap the measuring tape or string around the middle of the shaft.
Ensure the tape is snug but not tight, and parallel to the ground.
Note where the tape meets or overlaps.
If using a string, mark where it overlaps and measure that length with a ruler.
Record the measurement to the nearest 0.1 inch or 0.25 cm.
Note: For the most accurate results, take each measurement three times and use the average.
